The Butler Adult Community Mental Health Service provides assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services to adults aged 18 to 65 years who have a mental illness
The NMHS Mental Health, Public Health and Dental Services (MHPHDS) Community Adult Mental Health Service work in partnership with service providers and consumer and carer stakeholders to deliver mental health treatment in a community clinic or home setting.
Services can be accessed when required, and are person centred, focused on evidence-based treatment which is culturally and spiritually sensitive to individual needs.
Care plans developed in collaborative partnership with the consumer, family, carer and other services are practical and achievable to promote sustained recovery.
The Butler Adult Community Mental Health Service provides:
- psychiatric services
- mental health consultation, and assessments
- rehabilitation services for the individual’s mental illness.
- Referrals to community mental health services can be made by individuals (self-referral), general practitioners, general hospitals and psychiatrists.
