Alpine Views Walk Wangandary is a beautiful trail in Victoria's Alpine region that offers stunning views of the Victorian Alps.
It's perfect for nature enthusiasts, hikers, and those seeking an escape from the city. Springtime visitors can also enjoy the region's wildflowers, including orchids. The track follows the Friends Track southeast from Wenhams Camp and ends at Boilerwood Track. For the best views, hikers should take the second turn off the Friends Track, about 500 meters beyond Mt Warby. The track branches off sharply to the right and should be followed in a clockwise direction. There are plenty of photo opportunities along the way.
The best time to visit the Alpine Views Walk Wangandary is during spring to see the thriving orchid population. The trail is easily accessible by car via the Hume Freeway and Wangandary-Bethanga Road. The trackhead is located at Wenhams Camp Road and is clearly signposted. The walk is moderate in difficulty and takes approximately two hours to complete one-way, covering a distance of 2 kilometers.
