Named Gourmet Traveller WINE's Star Cellar Door (2017), this relative new-comer estate has elevated itself into one of Margaret River's prized wine destinations.
Amelia Park Wines began in 2009 led by coveted winemaker Jeremy Gordon, producing a hand-crafted wine range with grapes from Margaret River and Frankland River. Jeremy is well-known for his detailed approach and a highly celebrated tenure at Flametree Wines, during which time his Cabernet Merlot won Australia's most coveted wine award, the Jimmy Watson Trophy.
The Wines
Amelia Park Wines range from highly-drinkable to collectable styles, with a focus on Margaret River's signature varieties. Immense critical acclaim has been received since day one, including awards at the International Wine Challenge and Decanter Wine Awards for the Cabernet Sauvignons and Shiraz, in particular.
Wine Tasting
The architecturally designed cellar door makes a dramatic statement with its bold, decorative interiors and stunning views over the Wilyabrup Valley. Wine tastings are available daily or for more of a culinary experience, enjoy a wine flights paired with cheese and charcuterie in the ambient Cellar Door Barrel Room. Tours and private tastings can be booked in advance.
The Food
A French-bistro inspired lunch menu is available daily at the Amelia Park Restaurant, where a wood fired oven and grill is centrepiece to much of the food. The cuisine is modern and seasonal with a focus toward locally-sourced produce. It is operated by local hospitality legends, the Gold Plate awarded Blair and Renee Allen who were previous owners of Dunsborough favourite, Piari & Co.
