The brief from the owners of this riverside Applecross home was to create a usable garden terrace with seating and a water feature that integrated with the aesthetic of the home.
This was achieved through clean lines and the creation of a curved bench seat. Made from teak, the seat serves as a focal point and is further highlighted by a dry-laid limestone wall.
To add interest, the main space was sunk and defined through granite paving. Ground-level beds were included to soften the edges between the floor surface and walls.
