Description
Badgingarra National Park is a vast 13,108-hectare (32,390 acres) national park in Western Australia, located just 190 kilometers north of Perth.
The park lies next to the town of Badgingarra and can be easily accessed off the Brand Highway. The park is characterized by high breakaway country that overlooks low undulating sandplains. Mullering Brook flows through the park, forming a swampy area. The area is mostly composed of low scrub, and endemic species of plants, including mottlecah, smokebush, Banksia, Verticordia, kangaroo paw, and the rare Badgingarra mallee are found throughout the area.
Badgingarra National Park is renowned for its incredible diversity of rare and endemic wildflowers. Some of the extraordinary and unique wildflowers that can be found within the park include rare species such as Hakea flabellifolia, Strangea cynanchicarpa, and Eucalyptus pendens. Visitors are encouraged to take precautions to avoid the spread of this disease, which is caused by the Phytophthora cinnamomi fungus.
Badgingarra National Park boasts of an incredible diversity of wildlife living within the area. You might spot some of the western grey kangaroos, emus, bustards, and wedge-tailed eagles that inhabit the area.
