Jazz Tupiniquim is a quartet of Brazilian instrumental music, which takes influence of several Brazilian rhythms, such as Choro, Samba, Bossa-Nova, as well as influences from artists such as Hermeto Pascoal, Pixinguinha, Tom Jobim, and others.
The group brings a very upbeat vibe to the evening, with a unique formation consisting of Danilo da Paz – Piano Accordion, Emily Gelineau – Violin, Joshua de Silva – 7 string guitar and Fábio Macarrão – drum kit.
Having performed at prestigious events and venues such as the Perth International Jazz Festival, the United Nations Gala Australia, JazzConnect Festival, Wally’s Jazz Club (USA), and the JazzLab Brunswick (VIC), the group is honoured to present their first event in the 2025 FRINGE WORLD Festival.
