Description
The Bald Head Walking Track is a spectacular hiking trail located in the Torndirrup National Park near Albany.
The track offers visitors the chance to explore and admire the stunning coastal scenery of the Flinders Peninsula. The trail stretches about 12.5 kilometres and can take between 6 and 8 hours to complete. It leads visitors through thriving bushland to discover an array of native plants, including a spectacular display of colorful wildflowers in spring. The area is also a great spot for whale watching, so be sure to bring binoculars. It is recommended to visit in spring when the wildflowers are blooming and the weather is pleasant. Bald Head is located 25 minutes drive from Albany, and approximately 4.5 hours from Perth. Visitors should wear appropriate enclosed footwear, long shirts, and trousers, and bring plenty of food and water, as well as essential items like a first-aid kit and sun protection.
