It is recommended to visit the creek during high or in-between tides for a better experience. You can also take a short walk on the unique Cullendulla Nature Reserve boardwalk. The boardwalk has interpretive signage about the noteworthy Aboriginal history of the area.
As you paddle further along the trail, you'll encounter the historic remains of a railway, which adds to the beauty of this trail. From Cullendulla Creek, you can continue paddling towards Square Head while admiring the spectacular Snapper Island in the distance.
