Description
Ben Ean is a 174 year strong winery and vineyard back to its former glory after extensive refurbishment to the cellar door, restaurant, function, still house and winery areas.
Ben Ean, formally known as Lindeman’s Estate, has been acquired by the McGuigan and Peterson families, returning the property to its historical roots of the Hunter Valley. The McGuigan and Peterson families are dedicated to maintaining and developing the estate as a salute to some of the best-known viticulturists and winemakers of the last 170 years in the Hunter.
CELLAR DOOR
Ben Ean Cellar Door provides the unique opportunity to taste the world famous and iconic Australian red wine, Penfolds Grange on a daily basis. Ben Ean is the only cellar door in the Hunter Valley and indeed NSW to offer this unique experience.
The Grange is served under a Coravin dispenser, keeping the wine fresh and showing Grange at its’ best. Grange is served in Riedel glassware with tasting notes provided by Peter Gago (the Penfolds chief winemaker).
This wonderful experience is available every day and is only $50 for a 50ml tasting of this piece of Australian wine history. Tasting fees are not redeemable on purchase.
