Blackmans Bay is a beautiful beach located in Tasmania, Australia.

It is situated on the South Arm Peninsula and offers stunning views across the Derwent to Kingston, Tinderboxs and Opossum Bay. This beach is an ideal destination for families, couples, and solo travelers. The beach has day use areas with picnic facilities, showers, toilets, a children's playground and a range of holiday accommodation. Seven Mile Beach is the closest surfing beach to Hobart and is located 15 km east of the city.

There are many outdoor activities that visitors can enjoy at Blackmans Bay. Visitors can go beachcombing past pools filled with little fish and crustaceans or go fishing at Opossum Bay. The Esplanade reaches the southern end of Seven Mile Beach and Surf Road parallels the back of the beach for 3 km - visitors can take a stroll along this long crescent of sand on the northern shores of Frederick Henry Bay.

The best time to visit Blackmans Bay is during summer (December-February) when temperatures are warmest. Winter (June-August) can be cold but still offers beautiful views of the ocean.
