Description
The famous Bordertown Wildlife Park, developed in 1968, is located near the turn-off from the Dukes Highway at the eastern entrance of the town.
In the park, you can find Western Grey Kangaroos, Dama Wallabies, and a variety of birdlife. The park is known for its mob of White Kangaroos, a genetic strain of the Western Grey. The park offers a 4.5-hectare area where visitors can drive or walk around and easily observe the park's inhabitants through the fence. The park also has a large free bush enclosure where you can view roos, wallabies, emus, deer, and birds from the perimeter. The highlight of the park is the rare white roos, providing a unique experience. The park is open year-round, and the best time to visit is at dusk when the kangaroos and wallabies are more active. To get there, simply take the turn-off from the Dukes Highway at the eastern entrance of the town. It is easily accessible by car with ample parking available. The park is a great stopover during a long road trip or if you are visiting Bordertown.
