Description
The botanical walk is a great way to discover the Gondwana rainforests of Australia.
Learn the names of some unique trees and ferns on this short walk up the Wilson River from the picnic area. Designed to bring people in close contact with the environment, it's the perfect place to stretch your legs on a road trip along the North Central Coast. Don't let the Note 5 put you off, it's suitable for adventurers of all levels, especially young children or those who are less mobile. Pale green palm trees dominate the grounds, and the scent of cedarwood and yellow carabiner follows you as you walk through an ever-changing display of greenery and wildflowers. Do you prefer a more challenging hike? The equally beautiful Palm Grove Promenade and Waterfall Promenade also begin at the Wilson River Picnic Area. Both take you through lush forests characterized by tall, buttressed trees, bangalow palms, grape vines, bird nest ferns and deer antlers.
