Description
The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is a 161-kilometre recreational trail in Queensland, Australia.
It follows the old Brisbane Valley railway line and is open to walkers, cyclists, and horse riders. The trail starts in Yarraman and ends in Wulkuraka, passing through various towns and crossing the Blackbutt Range. The trail is managed by the Department of Transport and Main Roads, along with several regional councils and volunteers. It is not suitable for road/racing bicycles, personal mobility vehicles, or motorised vehicles. The trail offers a glimpse of diverse wildlife and is home to protected plants, animals, and cultural features. The Lockyer Creek Railway Bridge and Yimbun Railway Tunnel are both listed on the Queensland Heritage Register.
