You can also go fishing in one of the many streams, creeks or river near the Burrowye Reserve for Brown and Rainbow Trouts, Redfin, and Murray Cod. You can relax on one of the many safe access to pebbly beach rivers and water, or swim in the river making sure to check the water condition and currents before swimming.
Burrowye Reserve provides a perfect retreat for those who enjoy camping. The Reserve offers ample shade, river frontage campsites, and is suitable for caravans or camping - you must be self-sufficient. Remember to bring your own water and wood for cooking and camping needs.

Burrowye Reserve is just off the Murray River Road, opposite Mt Lawson State Park. If you are coming from Walwa, travel east along Tooma Road for 1.2 kilometers, turn left onto Murray River Road, and continue driving for roughly 5.5 km. Burrowye Reserve will be on your left-hand side.
