Description

Cameron Park Wellington is an award-winning park that offers something for visitors of all ages.

With beautiful gardens, large trees, and modern playground equipment, it is a perfect destination for the entire family. Some key features of the park include a 25 pounder Gun-Howitzer, a granite Cenotaph honoring those who sacrificed their lives, a cascading fountain, a sunken rose garden, and a Lone Pine tree grown from a seed from Gallipoli.

The best time to visit Cameron Park is during the spring and summer seasons when the weather is excellent and the gardens and other features are in full bloom. The park is easily accessible as it is located in the heart of Wellington, just off the Mitchell Highway. Visitors can take a leisurely walk through the CBD and enjoy the park's beauty from the bridge connecting Pioneer Park to the CBD.

Cameron Park celebrated its 100th birthday in 2010 and is a facility of Dubbo Regional Council. With plenty of activities to choose from, including walking, sightseeing, and exploring, it is a unique destination that is worth a visit.
