Description
Capertee National Park is a vast natural habitat located in the traditional Country of the Wiradjuri people.
It is part of a network of protected areas that preserve the ecological and cultural values of the region. Historically, the park consisted of a mix of freehold and leasehold land, with additional crown lands and a freehold property incorporated in recent years. The park's diverse geology gives rise to a variety of vegetation communities, including 11 protected flora species. It also serves as a crucial breeding and feeding habitat for 32 endangered animal species, particularly woodland bird species that are in severe decline. Visitors to the park can enjoy the rich biodiversity while respecting the cultural heritage of the Wiradjuri people.
