Located just outside the town of Darke Peak in South Australia, the Carappee Hill Conservation Park covers 850 hectares and became a conservation park in 1973.

The park boasts a number of different hiking trails with the Carappee Hill Hiking Trail being one of the popular trails due to the panoramic views it offers.

The Carappee Hill Hiking Trail is a moderate 2-hour return hike that takes you up to 489m above sea level - the highest point on the Eyre Peninsula. Visitors will be able to take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding areas, including the sea and the farm lands in Cleve, Arno Bay and Darke Peak. It is important to take the time to sign the visitors book, which can be found at the top of Carappee Hill.
