Description
Caroona Creek Conservation Park is a protected area in South Australia, covering 54.22 square kilometres of serene landscape.
Established in 2010, the park features steep rocky ridges, hills, and alluvial plains that showcase the transitional zone between the Mid North and the Flinders Ranges. Additional land was added to the park in 2014. The northern area of the park is particularly noteworthy, with the rugged terrain surrounding Tourilie Gorge. The park is crossed by the Heysen Trail, a long-distance walking trail. Despite being classified as a protected area, existing rights of entry, prospecting, exploration, or mining are secured under previous proclamations newline.
