Description
Catlins Surf School is located in Curio Bay, Southland, New Zealand, a truly special place known for its rare 170 million-year-old petrified forest, endangered yellow-eyed penguins, and Hector's dolphins.
The area is also home to a great surfing beach, making it the perfect place to learn to surf. The surf school has been coaching students for 14 years, and they cater to all abilities and interests. Most of their students are first-time surfers, and they are taught in the small green unbroken waves, not in the big white water, as it is much harder that way. The surf school is located in the corner of the bay, where there is always small surf, making it an ideal location for beginners.
