Caythorpe Family Estate - A Quintessential Wine Destination
Located on the Central Wairau Plains in the heart of Marlborough's wine-growing region, Caythorpe Family Estate is a fifth-generation, 100% family-owned farm, orchard, and winery.
Established in 2015, Caythorpe Family Estate's brand is the result of the family's first vineyards planted in 1987, which supplied contract fruit to several wineries. Caythorpe's wines are single vineyard, estate grown, and made with meticulous attention to detail from vineyard to bottle by Simon Bishell, its viticulturist, and assisted by renowned local winemaker Jeremy McKenzie.
A Wine Lover's Paradise
Caythorpe Family Estate is a travel destination for wine lovers looking to experience the best of Marlborough. The winery is located on the Classic New Zealand Wine Trail, which offers visitors an exceptional opportunity to indulge in three significant wine regions in the South Island - Marlborough, Wellington/Wairarapa, and Hawke's Bay. The Classic New Zealand Wine Trail starts from Hawke's Bay in the North Island, passing through Wairarapa, Wellington and Marlborough.
