Clare Valley Wine and Wilderness Trail

The Clare Valley Wine and Wilderness Trail is a 100km walking and cycling trail that takes visitors on a scenic journey around the Clare Valley.

It consists of five stages, each approximately 20km long, starting and ending at the Clare Valley Wine, Food & Tourism Centre. The trail showcases the natural beauty of the region and offers access to 24 cellar doors, as well as numerous restaurants and cafes. It is open to both locals and visitors, who can choose to complete the entire route or smaller sections. Walkers can expect to take approximately five days, while cyclists can take between two to five days to cover the entire trail. Currently, the first two stages of the trail have been completed, allowing visitors to experience part of what the Clare Valley has to offer. The trail will be closed until the 26th of March 2022, with private property within the route inaccessible during this time. The trail is easily accessible from Adelaide, which is a two-hour drive away, and there are also bus services available newline.
