Cloudehill Gardens

Cloudehill is a garden at the top of the Dandenongs in Olinda and is internationally renowned for its floral gardens and magnificent artworks all year round. About 25 sections of the garden are divided by stone walls and hedges.

These include Australia's best summer borders, peony gardens, a spring bush walk, bluebell forests, expansive bulb meadows and a 'green theatre' which hosts the Summer Twilight Concert Series. The deep volcanic soil and the mild, humid climate allow the plants to reach majestic proportions. Of great importance are the Japanese maples in the heart of the garden. They were imported from Japan's legendary Yokohama nursery and have been growing on the property since 1928. The Diggers Club run Cloudehill Nursery and stock traditional seed and mature trees and many of the plants found in the gardens. The Seasons Restaurant offers a unique dining experience using fresh local produce. Cloudehill Gardens and Diggers Garden Shop are open with COVID safety measures in place.
