Coledale Beach

Coledale Beach, located in Coledale, New South Wales, is a beautiful, picturesque beach situated 18 kilometers north of the Wollongong central business district.

It is important to note that the beach is patrolled by qualified personnel only during the NSW school holidays from September to April. Outside of this period, visitors need to be cautious and take appropriate safety measures. The nearest patrolled beach during the offseason is North Wollongong Beach.

Coledale Beach is not a dog-friendly zone, and dogs are not allowed in the reserve or on the beach. The best time to visit Coledale Beach is during the summer months between December and February, when the weather is warm and ideal for outdoor activities. It is recommended to book in advance, as there is a high influx of visitors during this time. Visitors who prefer a quieter experience can visit after the school holidays.
