Cooinda Reserve in West Wyalong offers a range of amenities including covered BBQs, picnic facilities, toilets, dump point, and water.
The Reserve is also known for its historical sites such as the Poppet Head, Neeld's Hut, Evolution Mining Liebherr Bucket, Eucalyptus Stills, and Junk Art Sculptures. Informational panels throughout the Reserve provide insights into the area's past. Visitors can explore the canals and even take out a canoe. The Reserve also features a dog park and dog skill area called Mirri Ngurang. Cooinda Reserve is open year-round and can be easily accessed by car. It is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes from Canberra and 5 hours and 50 minutes from Sydney. It is recommended to set aside a few hours to fully enjoy all that the Reserve has to offer.
