Coopracambra National Park is a vast area of untouched wilderness located in the Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia.
It covers over 38,800 hectares (96,000 acres) and is situated approximately 460 kilometres (290 mi) east of Melbourne and 250 kilometres (160 mi) south of Canberra, near the town of Cann River.
The park is defined by the Black-Allan Line, part of the border between Victoria and New South Wales, to the north, and the Monaro Highway serves as its western boundary. The Genoa River flows eastwards within the park towards the Tasman Sea.
Mount Coopracambra is one of the highest peaks in the region, standing at an elevation of 1,103 metres (3,619 ft) above sea level. Other notable peaks include Mount Kaye, with an elevation of 998–1,000 metres (3,274–3,281 ft), and Mount Denmarsh, reaching a height of 917 metres (3,009 ft).
Coopracambra National Park, together with the South East Forests National Park in New South Wales, forms one of the largest and most significant contiguous areas of high-quality wilderness in southeastern Australia. It stretches from Bombala in New South Wales to the town of Cann River in Victoria. The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife and plant species, making it a paradise for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. To access the park, visitors can travel by car from Melbourne or Canberra and follow the Princes Highway (A1) to the town of Cann River
