Coriole

Coriole is situated in the undulating hills of the densely planted McLaren Vale region just within sight of the sea and less than an hour from Adelaide.

Coriole was founded by Hugh and Molly Lloyd in 1967, and they released their first wine in 1969. The Estate is still owned by the Lloyd family and is now managed by second and third-generation Lloyd family members.

The original farmhouses were built in 1860 and are now the epicentre of the garden and cellar door at the winery. The original vineyards were planted in 1919.

Shiraz is the great tradition of McLaren Vale going back over 150 years, and is the major variety planted on the estate. Coriole has been an Australian pioneer of Sangiovese and Italian varieties since 1985.

11am to 5pm 7 days a week. (closed Good Friday and Christmas Day)

Coriole's Ironstone Cellar Door is open to taste wine with no booking required (however restrictions to guest numbers may apply). Cellar Door tastings attract a $15pp tasting fee which is waived with purchase.

Please note the cellar door closes at 5pm, therefore Coriole are unable to offer their tasting experience to guests who arrive after 4:15pm, as the experience takes around 30 - 45 minutes.

All groups of 8 people or more must have a pre-booked tasting reservation. These are held Saturdays and Sundays at 10am or 11.15am and are charged at $22 per person which includes a range of wines to try and cheese platters.
