Description

Corrigan's Suspension Bridge is a popular attraction in Tarra-Bulga National Park in southeastern Victoria.

Originally built in 1938, the bridge offers a perfect viewpoint above the tree ferns. It was rebuilt in 1982 and is now an iconic landmark in the heart of the national park.

The suspension bridge is the main attraction of Tarra-Bulga National Park and can be accessed via two short loop trails. Both trails are great for birding, hiking, and walking, and offer breathtaking views of the rainforest and wildlife within the park.

Visitors can enjoy walking through the lush green tree fern forest and the view from the bridge is even more spectacular. The loop trail starts and ends at the Bulga Picnic Area, making it a great spot for a picnic or BBQ. Along the trail, visitors will also see tall Myrtle Beech trees and hear the calls of the Superb Lyrebird.

The trail is open year-round, but parking can fill up quickly on busy days. It is recommended to park in another area and start the loop from an alternate access point.

To get to the suspension bridge, visitors can drive to Balook, Victoria. The park is not accessible to dogs, bicycles, drones without a permit, firearms, fires, horses, cats, pets, camping, and motorbikes/trail bikes. Visitors should also be cautious of falling limbs and be aware that there is no mobile phone reception in the park.

Parks Victoria provides facilities and programs to make the park accessible for people with disabilities.
