Welcome to Cuttagee Beach and Lake, located approximately 8 kilometres south of Bermagui along the Tathra-Bermagui Road.
This beautiful beach and lake is a stunning location to relax and enjoy the sparkling blue waters of the Sapphire Coast.
Cuttagee Beach is a popular destination for swimming, surfing, and fishing. This amazing beach is perfect for all ages and is renowned for its excellent surf breaks. The lake is perfect for young children to play in its gentle waters when it is open to the sea. The lake's waters are shallow and ideal for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and prawning (in season). The lake is framed by one of the Sapphire Coast's iconic single-lane wooden bridges, which is an attraction in itself.
Take a bushwalk to Cuttagee's northern headland along the track, situated north of the bridge. This track provides stunning coastal views, whale watching (in season), and access to Barragoot Beach, 3.5 kilometres of pristine sand.
There is a dog leash-free area from the south end of the beach to just before the lake. Therefore, it is essential to take care when swimming and surfing.
Cuttagee Beach and Lake are fantastic locations to explore all year round. The summer months, from December to February, offer the perfect conditions for swimming, surfing, and water activities. The winter months also offer fantastic bird watching opportunities and great conditions for bushwalking.
