Deepdale Farm is truly one-of-a-kind, a destination in its own right, the perfect location for intimate celebrations, family gatherings and corporate retreats.
This unique country estate has it all in spades. A heritage homestead with a modern renovation, a guest house, entertainment barn, pool, tennis court and gym, set within a vast working farm in the rolling hills of the Avon Valley.
The Homestead
The 1850's homestead is overflowing with outstanding features and historical significance, and has been seamlessly fused with an award-winning architecturally designed extension. The interiors celebrate the past with jarrah floorboards, a clawfoot bath and period fireplaces, and embrace the future with state-of-the-art appliances and technology.
Furnishings and décor are of the highest quality throughout. The stunning master bedroom features Federation pressed tin ceilings, French chandelier and ornate mantle piece, and it's ensuite has an Italian marble shower.
The homestead has another three bedrooms, a gorgeous bunk room and two bedrooms downstairs with French doors through to the gardens.
An endless number of living spaces accommodate all guests. Enjoy drinks or a relaxed meal on the sweeping verandah and sun deck, or dine in the spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living area. Stylish formal living room with wood fireplace, contemporary sun room or additional lounge/TV room downstairs provide endless options to recline and relax. Foodies will savour the spacious, designer kitchen with a Lacanche oven.
The Guest House
Striking Toodyay stone flawlessly connects the homestead to the adjacent guest house, with four beautifully appointed bedrooms and three bathrooms. A sun deck at the front of the guest house provides another space for rest and relaxation with stunning views across the landscaped gardens and lawns to the rolling hills in the distance.
The Barn
The converted barn has been styled for entertaining, just a short walk along an illuminated pathway from the homestead. Character abounds in this restored shearing shed with a bar & spacious seating area that opens onto the manicured lawns; an adjacent games room with pool table and table tennis; a 12-seater dining table and comfortable lounge area; as well as further seating on the verandah. Well equipped with a commercial grade catering kitchen + pizza oven that will delight any chef, this is the perfect location for intimate celebrations, family gatherings or corporate workshops.
Activities
Guests are spoilt for choice at Deepdale Farm, they can indulge in a myriad of activities, or simply relax and do nothing. The resort-style pool boasts gorgeous views across the valley and features a BBQ alfresco area. The floodlit tennis court is equally impressive, as is the fully appointed gymnasium. Art lovers can explore the 2.5 hectares of garden with magnificent (some life-size) sculptures and learn about the property’s historical significance in Deepdale’s very own museum.
Children can run free across the expansive landscaped lawns and enjoy family walks along the various trails, some of which run down to the Avon River. Guests can also wander through the olive grove of over 300 trees and the restored, historic ‘Wonga’ woolshed.
Working Cattle Farm
Heritage runs deep at this 1500-hectare property, as one of the first farms established in the district, and it’s been in continuous use since the 1830’s, when it was associated with Governor Stirling and Lionel Lukin. These undulating hills have cropping and sheep capacity, as well as an Angus Beef breeding enterprise. Guests can see these animals and alpacas grazing in the paddocks.
Out & About
Deepdale Farm is located just 10kms, 5 minutes’ drive, from Toodyay. This historic town is full of rustic charm with a unique valley backdrop and the Avon River flowing through the centre.
