Description
Experience this unique sheep station and holiday destination situated on a secluded private beach front only 30 miles from Monkey Mia.
Discovered in 1616 by Captain Dirk Hartog and established in the late 1800's as a pastoral station, Dirk Hartog Island has an intriguing history.
Occupying over 152 000 acres of wilderness, it forms the western boundary of the Shark Bay World Heritage Area. To the east is bounded by bays which house the largest area of natural sea grass, making the waters rich in dugongs, turtles and whales and offers endless fishing opportunities. Take a guided tour to the northern boundary and see where Dirk Hartog first landed on Australian soil.
