Dorothy Davies

Dorothy Davies is a painter specialising in still life works.

Dorothy’s beautiful contemporary still life paintings feel so real you can almost smell the fruit and touch the native ora. Featuring natural and found objects each painting draws on her experience as a still-life painter, botanical artist and graphic designer. Working in oils she carefully under paints each painting building up layers giving each a remarkable depth and beauty. Dorothy has enjoyed an award-winning career in packaging and corporate design. She worked for a number of the best design firms in Sydney and London, before running her own design practice in Australia and at the time she was named Australia’s most outstanding packaging designer. Dorothy loves to explore and closely observe the natural packaging of fruit and owers, as well as collected ceramics and glassware. Dorothy is participating in the 2021 Margaret River Region Open Studios.
