Description
Dump Beach Yamba is a beautiful stretch of sand that connects the south end of Pippi Beach (Flat Rock) to the cluster of gems at Angourie.
It is named after a nearby rubbish dump and is accessible on foot from Pippi or north from Angourie's Green Point. Dog lovers will find Dump Beach Yamba to be a paradise, as it is one of the few beaches in the area where dogs can run freely without any restrictions. It is a great place for picnics, sunbathing, and reading, but not recommended for swimming or watersports due to the lack of patrols and the presence of a deep gutter beyond the shore break. The best time to visit is during the summer months when the weather is warm and the water is calm, but spring and autumn are also good times to visit when the crowds have thinned out. To get to Dump Beach Yamba, follow the signs to Angourie along Angourie Road and park at the small carpark two-thirds up the road. Alternatively, you can park at Pippi Beach and walk south or walk north from Green Point if you are coming from Angourie newline.
