The History
Dux Central was originally part of the famous Dux de Lux, one of the most popular beer gardens and restaurants in Christchurch. However, the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake left the building unviable, forcing the owners to close down. The building was later converted into the Arts Centre of Christchurch's Old Student Union Building, but Dux Central was reopened in 2016.
