Eddy Reef is known for its maze of coral ridges covered in beautiful corals such as wide gorgonians, pink whip corals, and soft corals. Divers can also expect to see a diverse range of marine life, including angelfish, surgeonfish, boxfish, pufferfish, lionfish, wrasse, barramundi cod, coral trout, and gropers. The coral itself is home to small critters like nudibranchs, flatworms, shrimps, and coral crabs. To access the reef, it is recommended to take a day boat from Mission Beach. Booking in advance is advised as these trips can be popular.
