Eildon Pondage Walk

Located in Eildon, Victoria, the Eildon Pondage Walk is a delightful circuit trail that wraps around the lower pondage, offering visitors an easy and flat surface to enjoy a leisurely stroll, jog or bike ride.

It is a perfect walk for beginners, families with children and those who just want to enjoy the great outdoors.

The circuit starts from the Eildon Lions day visitor area car park, but you can access the trail from any of the pondage visitor areas alongside the waterfront. To begin your journey, start by walking along Riverside Drive, following the path all the way to the end of the road.

The circuit offers plenty of attractions, amenities and scenic stops to see along the way. As you cross over the power station of Eildon Pondage, visitors can follow the Futurefish Eildon Fishing trail past its series of seating benches, and fishing spots. Also, check out the picturesque jetties and Instagram worthy shots you can take that line the trail. Lastly, walkers will cross over the Goulburn Valley Highway Bridge which overlooks the Eildon Dam Wall in the distance. Conveniently, the trail is accessible year-round, and open every day for your walking pleasure.

By car, visitors can arrive at the Eildon Lions area car park via the Goulburn Valley Highway; this is about a two-hour drive from Melbourne.
