It is a large blade of coral that rises up from the sea floor, with a maximum depth of around 22 metres. This elongated bommie is rich with marine life, making it an ideal location to explore the underwater world.
Entrance Bommie Dive Site Lady Musgrave Island is known for its fascinating and diverse marine life. Divers will be captivated by the stunning ledges and caves that are filled with baitfish. Common sightings include schools of trevally, coral trout, and mackerel in pursuit of these baitfish. Sea turtles, tasseled wobbegong sharks, whitetip reef sharks, giant moray eels, stingrays, eagle rays, and various types of reef fish can also be seen. Tawny nurse sharks, which can grow to over three meters in length, are often found resting in the caves.
The best time to visit Entrance Bommie Dive Site Lady Musgrave Island is during the warmer months of the year, between April and November. The water temperature is perfect for diving, ranging between 21°C and 27°C, and the visibility is at its highest. In the cooler months, from December to March, the water temperature drops to between 18°C and 24°C.
