Errinundra National Park

Errinundra National Park is a stunning natural paradise located in the Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia. Covering an area of 26,875 hectares (66,410 acres), the park is centered on the Errinundra Plateau.

It is known for preserving the largest remaining cool temperate rainforest in Victoria and Southeast Australia's most striking old-growth forests. Visitors can spot rare and threatened flora and fauna species, including the powerful owl, tiger quoll, and long-footed potoroo. The park offers a diverse range of vegetation communities, including cool and warm temperate rainforest, wet open forest, montane forests, and woodlands. Additionally, there is a sub-alpine wetland for exploration.

While the majority of the park is accessible, it is recommended to visit during drier months as the unsealed roads become impassable in the rainy winter season. It is important to note that there have been instances of logging within the park's boundaries due to administrative errors, and logging has occurred in many areas before the park's establishment.
