Description
A self-guided journey exploring over 100 of Esperance's Arts and Culture destinations, encompassing an array of art forms.
Esperance Community Arts is very pleased to present the 2018 Esperance Arts & Culture Trail, a self guided tour of discovery featuring over 100 of Esperance’s Arts & Culture destinations. The variety of art forms and number of participants included in this project are a testament to the important contribution that arts and culture make to individual and community well-being. Discover Esperance's rich cultural heritage & vibrant arts community.
The 2018 Esperance Arts and Culture Trail is funded by an Australian Government grant of $20,000 provided through the Building Better Regions Fund. It expands upon the Art Trail established by Esperance Community Arts in partnership with local artists and galleries in 2007. The extended Trail is also designed to link in with Artgold’s Arts and Culture Trail planned for the whole of the Goldfields region.
The map will lead locals & visitors on a self-guided tour of destinations relevant to arts & culture. The website will list local arts-based businesses, individual arts practitioners and arts groups. These online listings will allow individual artists, businesses and groups who do not have a venue to be part of the project.
Our aim is to include as many art forms as possible (e.g. music, theatre, visual arts, crafts, design, dance, writing, photography) and include as many community members as possible to make this a great resource for everyone to use.
