Located in Landsborough, Australia, the Ewen Maddock Mountain Bike Trail is a popular destination for families and novice riders.
The trail offers scenic views of the Ewen Maddock Dam and Mount Beerwah and is surrounded by blackbutt forests, fern gullies, and melaleuca wetlands. It is approximately 10km long and takes about 2 hours to complete, designed for beginners and providing a fun and safe experience for families with children. Along the way, riders can stop and enjoy scenic viewing points overlooking the Ewen Maddock Dam.
The Ewen Maddock Mountain Bike Trail is primarily suitable for beginner mountain bikers and off-road recreational cyclists. Visitors can also explore the Main Track, a multi-use trail that goes from Maddock Park on the northern side of the lake to Gympie Street North near Landsborough. The Main Track offers lots of photo opportunities along the lake's edge, including distant Glass House Mountains, waterlilies, and other aqua plants.
Apart from the mountain bike trail, visitors can also explore the causeway and trails on offer at Maddock Park and Memorial Park on the north side of Ewen Maddock Dam. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking, picnicking, and bird watching. During this time, the weather is cooler and drier, making it more comfortable for outdoor activities.
