Fairhaven Beach State Park is a stunning lakeside haven located on the eastern coast of Lake Ontario in upstate New York.
It offers beautiful sandy beaches, towering bluffs, woodlands, and a variety of outdoor activities.
Visitors can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing on the park's 1500ft of sandy beach, including a guarded swim area. There are also two sandy beaches connected by a diving channel with diving boards. Boating activities are available on Lake Ontario and Sterling Pond waterway, with rental options such as row boats, paddle boats, canoes, and kayaks. Fishing opportunities are plentiful as well.
The park's woodlands surrounding Sterling Pond and Creek are perfect for hiking, picnicking, bird-watching, and camping. There are three individual campgrounds and a 30-unit cabin colony nestled within the woodlands. Winter activities include snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and ice fishing.
Facilities at the park include centralized restrooms with showers for each campground and the cabin colony. There are also cabins, cottages, picnic areas, and a heated shelter. Five pavilions are available for rent, accommodating up to 145 people.
Pets are welcome in designated areas, except for playgrounds, buildings, golf courses, boardwalks, pools, and guarded beaches.
