Description

Located halfway between Manly Beach and Shelly Beach along Marine Parade is the delightful Fairy Bower Sea Pool.

It is the smallest of the rock pools in Sydney and was built in 1929 by local residents. The pool is a triangle shape and measures 20 meters. It is one of many historic rock pools cut and blasted along the coast.

Fairy Bower Sea Pool is the perfect spot for sun-worshippers, snorkelers, and families with children. Children can splash safely in the water while parents enjoy the views of the ocean. The pool provides a great spot to snorkel and view the abundant fish life in the ocean outside the pool. There are toilets and a change room right by the rock pool, which is very convenient. The area around Fairy Bower is wonderful for snorkeling.

Fairy Bower Sea Pool can be enjoyed all year round. The pool is cleaned weekly between Wednesday and Friday night, and a sign indicating pool cleaning is put up 24 hours prior to cleaning. The time taken to fill the pool after cleaning can vary, and a sign is placed at the pool, indicating its closure during the filling process. Access to Fairy Bower Sea Pool is from Marine Parade, Manly NSW 2095. The best way to get there is by foot from Manly Beach or Shelly Beach Car Park. There is no shade at Fairy Bower Sea Pool, so visitors should only stay for a short
