Located in the Newcastle and Hunter regions of New South Wales, Australia, Glenrock Lagoon is an intermediate fresh water creek area that is situated within the Lake Macquarie local government area. The lagoon derives its catchment from Flaggy Creek and Awabakal Nature Reserve and is connected to the Tasman Sea through a tidal channel. Glenrock Lagoon was created about 6,000 years ago when the sea level stabilized after the last ice age. It is located near Newcastle suburbs of Adamstown and Dudley and is about 153 kilometres (95 mi) north of Sydney.
