Gooralong Park is a mecca for hiking enthusiasts with many trails traversing through the park. The trails take you through scenic forests, along the river, and over a waterfall. Be prepared to encounter a variety of terrains as some trails can be steep and rocky, while others are flat and easy going. Make sure to pack comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and plenty of water. As you wander through the park, take in the magnificent scenery and watch out for the diverse wildlife that inhabits the area. Be on the lookout for western gray kangaroos, emus, and bandicoots as you wander through the coastal heath and jarrah forest. You will also spot a variety of bird species like wrens, eagles, and cockatoos. The best time to visit Gooralong Park is during the spring and autumn months when temperatures are mild, and the park is brimming with native flora and fauna. Avoid visiting during the summer months as it can get very hot and humid in the region. Gooralong Park is located around 70 km south of Perth, accessible via the South Western Highway.
