Description
Grand High Tops Lookout is a must-visit spot in Warrumbungle National Park, offering panoramic views of surrounding mountains, rock formations, and landscapes.
To reach the summit, a short but steep climb up Lugh's Throne is required, providing breathtaking views of dykes, plugs, and lava domes. From the top, visitors can enjoy the sights of the Breadknife, the Needle, Belougery and Tonduron Spires, Crater Bluff, Balor Peak, and Bluff Mountain. Summer and fall are the best seasons to visit, and it's recommended to plan the trip on weekdays to avoid crowds. The lookout is located approximately 25km west of Coonabarabran, accessible via John Renshaw Parkway and Warrumbungle Mountain Road newline.
