Description
Surf lifesaving is part of Australia’s heritage and traditions. It is an iconic of Australian pride, generosity, self-reliance, safety and a willingness to provide volunteer service to the community.
A surf lifesaver exerts bravery, dedication, responsibility and commitment.
During summer months, Grange Surf Life Saving Club provides this essential and highly visible voluntary service along 6 km of one of Adelaide’s most beautiful and busiest stretches of beach – from Henley to Tennyson. Surf lifesaving exists to save lives. At the beach, a lifesaving rescue relies on split-second decisions and high levels of fitness and endurance. We are committed to helping reduce the coastal drowning rate.
