Description
The Great North Walk - Berowra Valley National Park is a 27km, grade 5 hike located in the Berowra Valley National Park, New South Wales.
It can be joined from various starting points such as Pennant Hills, Westleigh, Hornsby, Galston Gorge picnic area, or Berowra Waters. Also known as the Benowie walking track, it is a section of the iconic Great North walk between Sydney and Newcastle. Suitable for both day walks and overnight hikes, it offers a great adventure for bushwalking enthusiasts. The walk follows Berowra Creek for 25 kilometers, providing beautiful views of the creek and surrounding bushland. The trail is well-maintained and marked, making it easy to navigate. The trail has steep sections, stairs, and uneven surfaces, which can be challenging for some hikers. Along the trail, there are picnic areas, rest stops, toilets, and water stations available for hikers to utilize.
