Description
Oriel Karridale Gallery is a small gallery run by Heather showcasing a diverse selection of exciting art. Heather lives on site producing her innovative mixed media art in her studio
Think sumptuous textiles, luscious colours, natural materials with threads and fibres scattered throughout the pieces which are mostly inspired by nature. Travel diaries consisting of many small sketchbooks and tiny paintings document her interests and inspirations and the changing colours and cultures from around the world.
Heather loves to utilise different materials in her work. Unusual drift art bird sculptures, sea drift maidens and beautiful garlands are all executed creatively and add to her gorgeous collection of textiles and paintings.
Paintings vary in size from tiny postage stamp paintings with intricate details to large canvases. Free standing paintings appear on beautiful ancient jarrah fence posts, huge spherical saw blades and driftwood is often used as a canvas for her work resulting in quirky and creative art pieces.
Heather runs regular art workshops at her studio teaching a wide variety of techniques. Her energy, enthusiasm and passion for the arts, nature and life is apparent in her work.
