Description
Henderson Rock Dive Site is a popular diving location on the eastern side of Moreton Island.
It offers deep ledges, overhangs, and caves that attract adventurous divers. The site is known for its unique marine life, including ornate crayfish, grey nurse sharks, and wobbegong. Divers can also enjoy swimming with sea turtles. The best time to visit is during the winter months when the grey nurse sharks school up in the main gutter. To reach the site, you need to take a ferry to Moreton Island and then hire a boat tour. It's important to note that the site is only suitable for experienced divers due to strong currents, and weather and water conditions can change quickly.
