Description
Henty Riding Club is one of five clubs based at the Dardanup Equestrian Centre in Garvey Road, approximately one kilometre south of the Dardanup townsite.
Our club day is held on Wednesday mornings and members are encouraged to come and enjoy the facilities offered at the Dardanup Equestrian Centre. Members may have a lesson with one of the instructors who teach at the centre or just enjoy a social ride around the spacious grounds, ride some flatwork or try out the small jumps trail.
The grounds offer excellent facilities with a large sand arena and a smaller area with a full dressage arena permanently set up. Both arenas have good surfaces. Riders may set up a few jumps or do some pole-work. There are two round yards available.
The club rooms have all amenities including showers and kitchen facilities and a nearby fenced children’s playground.
Steve Brady holds two clinics a year and the Double Dan Horsemanship Group holds clinics throughout the year. Working Equitation and show jumping lessons are held regularly. The club hosts an annual Fun Day which raises funds for Cancer Research in conjunction with Australia's Biggest Morning Tea. And, through the committee, members are encouraged to organise events that are of interest to them. See our Events Page for upcoming events.
Instructors who regularly teach at the grounds are Karen Spice, Sue Buckley, Garry Kenney, Liza Dawson, Nadine Merrywether, Les Bunning, Jenny Goodman and Philippa Willis.
A veterinary surgeon visits once a month with a portable crush so members may have dental or other vet work done.
