Horrocks Beach is a stunning and popular swimming beach located in the beautiful seaside town of Horrocks.
Rated the #2 beach on Brad Farmer’s list of Australia’s 101 Best Beaches for 2018, this beach is a must-visit destination for all beach enthusiasts visiting Western Australia.
Horrocks Beach offers visitors plenty of activities to enjoy. Swimming, fishing, beachcombing, and indulging in a range of watersports are among the popular activities here. During late spring, visitors can visit the specially constructed platform to look out for Humpback whales on their migration south. The sight of these majestic creatures in their natural habitat is simply breathtaking. For those who fancy fishing, the jetty is a great spot to try your luck. The bay is surrounded by coral reefs where you can take a walk along the reef and neighbouring rock pools during low tide to investigate the varied marine life of the area. If relaxing is more your style, then you can soak up the sun on the white sandy beach while the children play in the nearby adventure playground.
Horrocks Beach is a wonderful destination to visit throughout the year, but the summer months from December to February are the busiest season. During these months, the water is at its warmest, and the bay is bustling with swimmers and visitors indulging in water activities. Low tide is the perfect time to explore the marine life at the coral reefs and rock pools, so check tide times to get the best of your visit. If you are interested in whale watching, late spring or early winter is the best time to visit.
Horrocks Beach is located 22 kilometres northwest of Northampton, which is about 1 hour’s drive north of Geraldton
